Dave Woeller is a self taught fine art photographer living, and working, in the South Jersey area. Born in Trenton, Dave was raised in Millville, NJ. He married Eileen Castellini of Vineland, and together they have two grown sons.
Dave attended Millville Senior High School, and during his junior and senior year he studied graphic arts. Those studies introduced him to photography. He enjoyed the challenge of capturing, and presenting his vision through this medium, and experimented heavily in alternate techniques and processes. He always appreciated, and learned from, the feedback of those who viewed his images.
Following high school graduation, Dave entered the glass industry as a hand glass worker before leaving to serve in the United States Air Force. He served for eight years as an instructor in the fine arts program (music) at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado. During his service he never lost his love for creating photographic images, all the while honing his skills.
Following his military service, Dave returned to Millville and re-entered the glass industry and eventually moved into a position as Environment, Health, and Safety Coordinator. He found his photographic skills becoming more useful as he created several advertising product shots for his employer.
The digital revolution has ushered in new challenges and has had a huge impact on artists like Dave. He finds the new challenges exciting, as they have brought on new processes to explore and new doors to open, in his continuing love of the fine art photographic image.
