Kathy Anne English is a self-taught artist and businesswoman currently living in Sweetwater, NJ. Under the business name Custom Artwork, Kathy has created hundreds of watercolors capturing landscapes, marine life, portraits and illustrative design.
Raised in southern New Jersey, her family constantly encouraged her to paint the beauty of her seashore environment. Although she has been a global traveler, the Pine Barrens and Jersey Shore have been her motivating factor for artistic success.
During her art career she has created many fine art images, as well as educational posters for the NJ Fish, Game and Wildlife Federation, Newark Bay Complex, Rutgers University, the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Reserve, the American Academy of Underwater Science, New jersey Sustainability greenhouse Gas Action Plan, New jersey Energy Savings Program and the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, to name a few.
Kathy has also been an integral part of her community by offering lectures and programs for numerous schools as well as instructing both children and adults in her home studio. She has also donated her art images to charities and fundraisers as another way of giving back.
Kathy’s inspiring work has earned national recognition the past four decades. She has received honors and awards too lengthy to mention but she considers her greatest reward the joy her artwork has brought to numerous families and organizations, and the everlasting relationships she has made with her customers, fellow artists, and especially her students.
