BIO

Phyllis London is best known for her watercolor paintings and illustrations. The image content ranges from dramatic to whimsical. Born and raised in a family of long-established New Jersey boat designers and builders, Phyllis has always managed to reflect her love of tall ships, sailboats and the Jersey Shore in her work.

She’s had many solo art exhibits & participated in numerous group shows. Her distinctive style has earned her many awards & accolades.

Phyllis’ work includes extensive work as staff illustrator for the Sands Hotel & Casino, freelance illustration for publications and advertising agencies. She has illustrated many music CDs. Among her clients are artists Scott Kirby: “Sol Searching”, Peter Mayer: “La Casa Cayo Hueso” Mayer-Kirby-Mayer and Larry Campbell: inside photograph of CD “Rooftops”. Her work hangs in private, public and corporate collections across the country.
