Ted Walsh

BIO/ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Ted Walsh was raised in Vineland, New Jersey. He earned an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Walsh paints with deep dedication to the tradition of American realism while also showing a keen understanding of the lessons of modernist and contemporary painting. He mostly paints landscapes and figures. Throughout his work, the elements of memory, environment, and history are important. These themes are often interwoven with Walsh’s intricate sense of South Jersey places.
